The St. Louis Job Corps Program prepares
young adults, age 16 to 24, for work in the building trades
through classroom instruction, field training, and work-based
learning. Students have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on

The St. Louis
Construction Orientation Intake Center offer consultation to
individuals seeking an apprenticeship in the building trades and
to qualified journeymen that are in need of a job placement.
The center serves as a link to the regional construction
industry by facilitating communication among contractors and
trade unions in order to place qualified workers on available

The
Construction Prep Center is a pre-apprenticeship training
program sponsored by the Metropolitan Education and Training
(MET) Center. The Construction Prep Center offers an
eight-week training program that allows participants to receive
job readiness skills before starting an apprenticeship.
The following entrance requirements apply to the Construction
Prep Center: the individual must be 18 or older, have a
high school diploma or GED and pass the academic skills
assessment in basic math and science. For further
