The purposes of ACCESS are to:
1. Support existing construction industry diversity development programs initiated by labor, owners, contractors, educators, associations, governmental agencies, and community based organizations.
2. Coordinate a continuum of construction career educational programs.
3. Build partnerships between existing initiatives aimed at workforce and W/M/DBE development to maximize the utilization of resources.
4. Collaboratively partner with local school districts to promote career and educational opportunities in the construction industry.
5. Use data collection, policy analysis and advocacy to engage in agenda setting and oversee activities that monitor, measure, and improve the region's performance with regard to minority workforce and business development.
